The role holder shall be responsible for interfacing with customers who walk into Surfline Shop, ensuring that their service needs are identified and resolved. S/He would be responsible for resolving IT/networking issues and delivering exceptional customer experience to customers.
Key Accountabilities
- Creates customer accounts by recording account information and maintaining customer records by updating account information.
- Performs sales activities to new and/or existing customers to achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets.
- Assists, persuades and addresses customer needs in selecting and purchasing required products in the service centre.
- Describes product features/benefits and demonstrate usage/operation of products to customers.
- Answers/addresses customer questions – provides information concerning specifications, warranties, prices, maintenance of products and delivery options.
- Suggests applicable and appropriate upsells to ensure customers walk out the door with everything they need
- Acquires continuous update on product knowledge such as how devices work and how to troubleshoot issues with customers and remain knowledgeable of all Surfline products/services to facilitate sales efforts
- Resolves product or service problems by clarifying customer complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment and following up to ensure satisfaction
- Achieves weekly, monthly and quarterly sales quotas
- Adheres to all safety rules and regulatory standards at the service centre
- Responsible for cash collection (from sales) and daily reconciliation of assigned stocks
- Performs any other functional duties assigned by line manager
Network Responsibilities
- Attends to customer needs pertaining to IT/Networking issues.
- Responsible for the configuration of dedicated internet/ troubleshooting internet radios and setting up their network as required.
- Provides prompt technical assistance to dedicated internet users.
- Assists Technology Department and the Enterprise Business unit at cell sites.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate in any field
Knowledge & Experience:
- Reasonable level of IT literacy and very good understanding of devices, terminals and mobile broadband
- Sales experience is a plus
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Experience in telecommunications or mobile industry desirable
- Able to operate in a performance-driven organization
- Fluent in English
