A Security Company located at Labone is looking for Finance Manager to manage the Finance department.
The position reports to the country director and the Regional Finance Manager (off site).
Duties are as follows:
1. Prepare Sales Invoices for country manager authorization, distribute sales invoice to client, follow up acceptance of invoice by the client, liaise/chase client for prompt payment.
2. Debtor Management/Credit Control/TCC control – provide weekly debtor reports to country and regional manager and report of progress with regards to chasing outstanding debts.
3. Responsible for inputting sales invoices and sales receipts to sage accounting software and for managing the sales ledger on sage.
4. Manage Cash and Cheque Expenses adhering to all normal finance cash controls.
5. To move towards managing the purchase ledger and bank payments and cash expenses on sage accounting software. (Moving away from excel system)
6. Bank reconciliations and cash management and control
7. Treasury management system including real time cash flow always forecasting up to date.
8. Weekly cashflow meetings with MD regarding cashflow and finances update
9. Responsible for Management of Payroll Systems, and payroll tax, (the finance assistant is also trained to run the payroll and does so regularly, important that two people are proficient in the overall running of the payroll)
10. Liaising with HR and Ops departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting with good controls regarding payroll changes during the month.
11. Responsible for preparation, reconciliation and submission and payment of SSNIT Contributions and monthly VAT/NHIL returns and WHT, VRPO 1%PC (finance assistant does the initial work on some of these)
12. Ensure and maintain compliance with Company’s tax requirements, liaising with auditors where necessary.
13. Work with Regional Finance manager on producing year end audit pack for Auditors
14. Manage the external auditors onsite during the annual audit and follow up with auditors to completion
15. Examining and flagging unusual activity on the general ledger.
16. Stock management – uniforms and ops stock.
17. Work closely with the regional finance manager to provide information needed to produce monthly management accounts by the middle of the following month, providing up to date sage and excel reports on time and accurately. (Regional finance manager has ultimate responsibility for the management accounts)
18. Supervise finance department currently 2 finance Assistants
19. Provide leadership in supporting Managing Director with financial decision making providing accurate relevant budgeting information in all matters financial
20 Any other job that will be assign from time to time.
Salary range Ghc 5000 to 8000 Gross.
