Team Management
- Organizes and enables the HR team with adequate resources and talent in order to achieve the desired levels of Organizational Excellence.
- Provides the HR team with adequate coaching, mentoring and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain Organizational Excellence and competitive advantage.
Human Resources Optimization
- Advises the country manager and other managers on HR related matters by supporting & coaching them to ensure objectives and initiatives are aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Sets performance targets for HR Team members and assesses individual performance to meet departmental goals.
- Tracks key HR metrics like cost per hire and retention rates in order to meet departmental targets and sustain performance.
Talent Acquisition
- Ensures that all roles have a documented job description as per the standard corporate template and reflecting clearly the job scope, accountability and requirements.
- Handles the activities of the talent acquisition to make sure they are aligned with the set annual strategy.
- Oversees the efficiency of the recruitment activities based on the monthly KPI’s to ensure budget compliance and optimal use of resources.
- Monitors closely the onboarding program to ensure a smooth integration of new joiners and fair assessment of probationary KPIs.
- Maintain a pool of qualified candidates at all times.
Policies, Procedures and Systems
- Oversees the implementation of the HR policies and procedures to ensure consistent and standardized practices across the organization.
- Designs and implements local HR policies and procedures in line with corporate strategy.
- Ensures that all HR Systems are up and running and serving well the processes and employees.
Compensation & Benefits
- Ensures that the implementation of the job grading methodology is applied in order to maintain a fair practice across the organization.
- Handles the payroll exercise to ensure payments are executed accurately, on time and as per the local rules and regulations
- Ensure salary structure and grading system is always competitive to attract talent and retain current staff
Performance Appraisal Management
- Manages the performance appraisal activities to ensure a fair process that drives high performance.
- Supports the managers on the performance appraisal process in order to make it a positive experience reflecting clear feedback and expectations.
Talent Management & Succession Planning
- Handles the process of identifying real talents within the organization in order to enroll them in the corporate talent programs.
- Supports the Head of HR in identifying key positions within the Organization and ensures short and long term successors with relevant development plan.
HR Services, Public Relations and Insurance
- Liaises with Insurance company or broker to ensure employees are having the right coverage on time with a good service
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management in terms of Government relations matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/ Human Resources or equivalent
- Master’s degree in Business Admin/ HR is a plus
- Certified Human Resource Professional (SPHR/SHRM etc.)
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- Experience in multi-cultural environment
Salary
Base Salary range of GHC5,000.00 to GHC8,000.00
