ROLE OVERVIEW
Our client is a Ghanaian based fashion house headquartered in Accra. The company currently stands at the frontline of the fastest growing African Industry while making major strides on the international scene. This company is looking for an HR Officer who will represent the company's policies, procedures and goals, and many of their tasks revolve around instilling these values in employees, whilst making sure the policies are also fair to the employees.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Act as the first line of contact on any employee issues.
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
- Develop programmes that enhance employee relations.
- Organize information on attendance i.e., lateness, absenteeism) and prepare monthly reports for the attention of management.
- Manage employee grievances ensuring full compliance with agreed procedure.
- Promote equality, health and safety within the company.
- Ensure that company policies follow the labor laws and regulations.
- Advise management on all matters regarding paid and unpaid leave.
- Record and process confidential infor mation.
- Monitor and track the KPI of staff and produce quarterly performance reports for managements attention.
- Build and maintain a cordial relation ship with all staff across the entire Company.
- Prepare correspondences and other documents for the signature of management.
- Perform any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- First Degree in Human Resource or any of the administration disciplines.
- Exceptional interpersonal communica tion at all levels.
- Comprehensive understanding of the labor act and employment laws that govern Ghana.
- Ability to be diplomatic in understand ing and implementing company policies.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Possess strong administrative skills.
