Business Development Manager - LMI Holdings



Subsidiary/Support Services: McKENZIE BROWN GHANA LIMITED

Purpose

To achieve all sales and revenue goals by developing, building, and strengthening long– term relationships with customers and vendors. The position will involve business development and deal-making skills, including strategic consulting and needs assessment, identifying and driving new business opportunities, pricing and contract negotiations and working with the General Manager and Production Manager to propose solutions to prospective clients. The ultimate goal is to maximize the company’s revenues through business acumen. The role of the business development manager requires quick thinking, an eye for detail and a proactive approach to achieving targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Initiates sales activity with customers and partners
  2. Works closely with organizations to know their construction and equipment hiring plans
  3. Directs and oversees teams and manages conflicts within the group
  4. Achieves/exceeds monthly sales targets and gross profit quota by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new customers and selling through strategic partners in different geographic territories
  5. Leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making processes, and overcomes objections to capture new business opportunities
  6. Grows and maintains existing customer and partner relationships in the territory by utilizing question-based selling methods to ascertain customers’ needs in order to craft relevant solutions
  7. Supports marketing-related events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns to increase brand awareness and presence in the local and foreign markets.
  8. Submits accurate and timely forecasts that are aligned with assigned sales quotas
  9. Facilitates all communications, order processing, and reporting of customer and partner transactions in the territory.
  10. Be the field resource to customers and partners and maintain proactive, dynamic, and effective communication with customers at partners all times.
  11. Effectively communicates and presents the business’s value proposition to all executive levels of an organization.

Qualifications/Experience

  1. Minimum of a degree in Business Administration/ Marketing
  2. Master’s in Business Administration/ Marketing is an added advantage.
  3. Minimum 10 years experience in a steel and manufacturing industry
