Vacancy: Account and Administrative Officer 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting and Administrative Officer to manage our financial records and provide comprehensive administrative support. 

Accounting Duties:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  2. Process invoices, manage billing cycles, and ensure timely payments to vendors and contractors
  3. Monitor and record office expenses, manage petty cash, and prepare expense reports.
  4. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  5. Provide financial analysis and support during audits.
  6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. 
  7. Prepare and file necessary tax documents and reports on weekly and monthly basis as required.

Administrative Duties:
  1. Oversee day-to-day office operations, including managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  2. Organize and maintain important documents and records, both physical and electronic. Ensure documents are accessible and secure.
  3. Assist in scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. 
  4. Coordinate internal and external communications.
  5. Address and resolve inquiries and issues from clients, vendors, and employees. Provide exceptional customer service and support.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles. 
  3. Candidates with experience in Construction, Architecture etc will be preferred but not a requirement.
  4. Experience with financial software and Tax returns systems and software systems is preferred.
Skills:
  1. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  2. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Certifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university in Ghana.
  2. ICA or ACCA Part 2 or 3 are a plus but not required.

Personal Attributes:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  2. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands.


Working Conditions:

  1. Environment: Office-based role with standard working hours 8am-5pm.
