Job Purpose
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This role involves coordinating with various teams to establish timelines, manage resources, and track project progress. The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in supporting project managers by providing accurate and detailed planning insights to enhance project delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Working within the estimated budgets
- Meeting the project target cost is within the budget.
- Deliver the planned schedules of fabricated material.
- Nesting of material and reports generation for the production
- Working with .NC1 files for the machines
- Optimum nesting of members for increasing the productivity of production
- Documentation of variations raised by client
- Updating the revision drawings and issue of updated drawing to the shop floor.
- Documentation and record keeping
General Responsibilities
- Guide and interact in house fabrication team, project engineers and cross functional departments for the requirements.
- Practical understanding of working with the machine to improve efficiency
- Preparation of SOP, audit documents and record keeping
- Estimation of hours required for projects and production
- Co ordinating with the drawing for the release of drawings.
- Preparation of department MIS reports
Competencies
- Should have working knowledge of MS office applications.
- Excellent working on ERP/SAP
- Working with engineering software’s like PLM, Win nest, Win bar, cut pro, most 2d, SDS, Steel projects, sigma nest.
- Should be proficient in working with windows operating system.
Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Should be from Structural Steel industry having extensive exposure planning of material for the production
