Procurement Officer - LMI Holdings

Subsidiary/Support Services: McKENZIE BROWN GHANA LIMITED

Purpose

To provide strategic support to the McKENZIE BROWN GHANA LIMITED teams by evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient, high quality and delivered on time

Major Deliverables/Key Result Areas

1. Working with in the estimated budgets,
2. Meeting the quality standards of products.
3. Meeting the project target cost is within the budget.
4. Deliver the planned schedules of consumables.
5. Import of consumables and custom clearance
6. Rate contract negotiation of major consumables
7. Vendor payments
8. Documentation and record keeping,

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Guide and interact in house fabrication team, project engineers and cross functional departments for the requirements.
2. Practical understanding of structures welding, specifications and detailed understanding of consumables
3. Preparation of SOP, audit documents and record keeping
4. Conducting vendor meetings
5. Inspection of product receipts and certification
6. Preparation of department MIS reports

Competencies

1. Vendor development & vendor relations
2. Grades of steel used for structural fabrication and corresponding welding consumables to be used.
3. Excellent skill in negotiation
4. Working closely with the steel supplier for the supply of material on time.
5. Cost comparison with respect to suppliers.
6. Sound knowledge tax stipulated with the government
7. negotiation of MOQ and raising PR to maintain stock levels

Qualifications/Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience

Should be from Structural Steel industry having extensive exposure on CNC structural manufacturing machine. OEE of the equipment/CNC programming must have worked with FICEP Blasting/Beam Drill/SAW/ANGLE Line/GEMINI/Kronos machines.
