Our client, a multinational agriculture company in Ghana, is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in employee relations and payroll administration. The HR Officer will handle various aspects of human resources practices and processes within the organisation to ensure a productive and harmonious workplace aligned with the company's goals and values.


LOCATION: Volta Region


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Handle all HR functions, including payroll processing and administration.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues, including illnesses and other workplace concerns.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives.
  • Organise and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and address staffing needs and organizational development.
  • Plan and execute recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new employees.
  • Monitor employee performance, implement appraisal systems, and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Conduct regular training and professional development programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution processes fairly and effectively.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring organisational compliance.
  • Design and promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, labour inspectors, and recruitment agencies.


KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Human Resources, preferably within the agricultural industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and employee benefits management.
  • Excellent organisational and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
