Our client, a multinational agriculture company in Ghana, is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in employee relations and payroll administration. The HR Officer will handle various aspects of human resources practices and processes within the organisation to ensure a productive and harmonious workplace aligned with the company's goals and values.
LOCATION: Volta Region
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle all HR functions, including payroll processing and administration.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, including illnesses and other workplace concerns.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives.
- Organise and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to identify and address staffing needs and organizational development.
- Plan and execute recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new employees.
- Monitor employee performance, implement appraisal systems, and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Conduct regular training and professional development programs to enhance employee skills.
- Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution processes fairly and effectively.
- Stay updated with changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring organisational compliance.
- Design and promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, labour inspectors, and recruitment agencies.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Human Resources, preferably within the agricultural industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and employee benefits management.
- Excellent organisational and supervisory skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
