Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Support/Network Engineer to join our team in Kumasi, Ghana. In this role, you will maintain and optimize our organization's network infrastructure while providing exceptional technical support to end-users.
- Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and firewall configurations.
- Ensure network security through monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware (routers, switches, etc)
- Monitor and optimize network performance and reliability.
- Perform network assessments, upgrades, and disaster recovery operations.
- Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of software applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT support and network engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- In-depth understanding of IT security best practices
- Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or MCSE are preferred
- Familiarity with IT service management principles and practices
